This website collects as little as possible. Here is exactly what it collects, why, and how to reach us about it.
Information this site collects
This website asks for personal information in two places. The catering inquiry form collects your name, phone number, event date and time, approximate party size, and any notes you choose to add. The live chat window collects whatever you type into it, which normally includes your name and a phone number or email address so we can reply. Both are optional — you can browse the whole site without using either. There are no user accounts, and no payment is taken on this website.
How that information is used
Catering inquiries are used for one purpose: to contact you about your event and prepare your order. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to any marketing list without your separate consent.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies unless you accept them on the banner, as described below.
Two things measure traffic here, and they work differently.
Always on. We count visits using a privacy-focused analytics service. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not collect your IP address or any other information that identifies you, and cannot follow you to other websites. The counts it produces are anonymous and cannot be traced back to a person, so there is nothing in it to opt out of.
Only if you accept. We would also like to use Google Analytics, which gives us more detail about which pages people read and how they arrived, and Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us when a visit that began at one of our Google ads led to an order, a phone call or a catering inquiry. Both do set cookies on your device. Because of that they are switched off by default — they do not load, and no cookie is set, unless you press Accept on the banner. If you arrive from a Google ad, the click code in the web address is carried over to our ordering page so that the order can be counted; that is a code in the address, not a cookie, and it is kept only for your current browser session. Declining costs you nothing; the site works identically either way. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as a decline and never show you the banner at all.

The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers; that request includes your IP address, as with any web resource.
The live chat window is provided by a third-party chat service. It stores a small identifier in your browser so that a conversation stays connected to you across pages and return visits, and it loads its own code from that provider's servers. That identifier is used to run the chat only — it is not used for advertising and does not follow you to other websites. Messages you send in chat are stored by that provider on our behalf and are handled under their privacy terms as well as this policy. If you never open the chat window, no conversation is created.
Online ordering and reservations
Online orders are placed on ActiveMenus, an independent ordering service that opens in its own page. Information you enter there — including payment details — is handled under ActiveMenus' own privacy policy, not this one. Reservations are taken by phone.
Your California privacy rights
Hikari Sushi Westlake Village does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents may ask what information we hold about them, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for making a request. Because this site does not build advertising profiles or sell data, the main thing to know is what we do with browser privacy signals: if your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a refusal of Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement and never load them or show you a consent banner. Where you have not sent that signal, both stay off until you accept them, and you can withdraw that at any time using the link in the Cookies and analytics section above. Aside from Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement if you accept them, the only other identifier this site stores is the one that keeps a live chat conversation connected to you, and it is not used for advertising.
